Happy New Year! Best of 2013 Voting season has begun!

Happy New Year! 2012 was a year of new adventures for Carbone’s Ristorante, and we would like to thank everybody that helped out along the way! We appreciate you keeping Carbone’s in mind each Mother’s Day, during restaurant weeks, for dinner meetings, holidays parties, or just a quiet dinner for two.

 

In August, Catering by Carbone’s was the official caterer of the Women’s Tennis Association event the New Haven Open at Yale. Our staff worked endless hours in preparation, and we had about 100 employees daily to help serve sponsorship suites, an on site restaurant The Racquet Club, drink and snack carts, two concession stands, the Players Club, and private events held at the various entertainment tents.

 

After the tournament ended, focus turned to a another new exciting project – the newest Carbone’s restaurant, Carbone’s Kitchen in Bloomfield, CT. After months of hard work by our contractors, construction workers, management team, and training employees, Carbone’s Kitchen opened on Tuesday, December 11, 2012. It was a great opening month, and we are so grateful to everyone that came to the new restaurant and supported us. The New Year also marks the start of another “Best Of” voting season. First up- the Hartford Magazine “Best Of” Reader’s Poll 2013. You can vote for your favorite restaurants in many categories online here. If you do not see “Carbone’s”, “Carbone’s Restaurant” or “Carbone’s Ristorante” in a category, you may add it by selecting “Write in a new choice”. Our guests have been so kind to us in the past, we thank you in advance for your continued support.

It takes 25 minutes from one end to the other. It is a free ride and can be picked up at any of the locations. Meet some friends for dinner, and ride to other locations for drinks, ice skating, and more to get in to the Holiday spirit!

You might be surprised by carolers, Santa, cookies… every trip could be different. Come join the fun!

Announcing Carbone’s Kitchen!

Carbone's Kitchen Coming Soon

You may have already heard the good news, but we are here to confirm that YES! We are opening a second restaurant. The restaurant will be called Carbone’s Kitchen, and located in the Wintonbury Mall in Bloomfield, CT. Chef Paul appeared on Better Connecticut last week to share the good news with Scot and Kara (and prepare a great fall dish with local grown vegetables!).

Carbone’s at The New Haven Open

September 17th, 2012

Catering by Carbone’s was honored to be the official caterer of The New Haven Open at Yale 8/17-8/25. After an eight year hiatus of being the caterer for the event (previously known as the Pilot Pen), Carbone’s headed to New Haven and got to work. A large staff was assembled for the event, ranging from chefs, bartenders, cashiers, wait staff, and much more. The kitchen provided food for the Racquet Club restaurant, concession stands, food and beverage carts, six corporate suites, and the Player’s Lounge. The New Haven Register did an article on Carbone’s efforts for the tournament, and the article and accompanying video are available online here.

This event was no small undertaking, and we would like to send a sincere thank you to all the employees who helped make the New Haven Open a success. We had a great team, and we greatly appreciate the help.

Chef Vinnie on Better Connecticut

Chef Vinnie appeared on Better Connecticut this week to preview a dish on our Mediterranean Menu! We had a great time on set with Scot Haney and Kara Sundlun, and Chef Vinnie made a new friend in Tony-award winning singer Alfie Boe. If you missed it, you can watch online here!

Dining In Hartford Restaurant Week!

Carbone’s is proud to announce our partnership with a new restaurant group! Dining In Hartford is an alliance of twelve Hartford restaurants to promote fine dining in the capital city! We will be hosting our first group restaurant week June 4-June 9.
